Summer at Walt Disney World
We are NOT celebrating Cool Kid Summer here….but we are celebrating summer!

This summer at the Walt Disney World Resort, they are celebrating Cool Kid Summer! That’s right! The parks are getting ready to celebrate the kiddos in your party in totally fun new ways!

Each park is getting in on the fun, as well as some other areas around the resort too. Want to learn more about what’s new for the summer at Walt Disney World? Let’s goooo!

Magic Kingdom

At the Magic Kingdom, you’ll want to head to the Big Top Bash at Storybook Circus! Kids will be able to join the DJ ringmaster for a summertime dance party. You might even spot stilt walkers, jugglers, and a certain famous dog – Pluto!

Speaking of dogs….well, as we all know, he’s not actually a dog. Stitch will be found in a dance party over at the Rocket Tower Plaza Stage. There will be a DJ and you can even head into Merchant of Venus to take part in a new craft inspired by the upcoming Pixar film, “Elio.”

EPCOT

At EPCOT this summer, Guests will be able to get a little Goofy! that’s because CommuniCore Hall will turn into GoofyCore!

Guests will be able to play and dance with Goofy, as well as take part in DJ dance parties and play goofy games like Loopy Limbo and Parachutes ‘n’ Pipsqueaks. I think my daughter will like this area for sure!

To make way for all the goofiness, CommuniCore Hall will temporarily close starting May 12. For those who are looking for Farmer’s Feast food options that were found in CommuniCore Hall for the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival, you’ll want to head to Florida Fresh booth, just outside.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Want to learn more about pollinators? You’ll want to buzz over to Rafiki’s Planet Watch for hands-on crafting activities about bees and butterflies.

You can also participate in Wilderness Explorers and earn a new limited-time badge! For those who don’t know, Wilderness Explorers allows Guests to pick up a guide book and speak with the Cast Members at Disney’s Animal Kingdom to learn more about animals and nature to earn badges (stickers). And with this new badge, you’ll get to learn about animals like tigers, okapi and more.

Finally, you’ll be able to head to Discovery Island to join in and participate in an interactive sing-along with the Dino Institute Intern celebrating all the amazing animals throughout the park. There will be original songs, playful storytelling, and plenty of chances to join in.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Visit Animation Courtyard for games and crafts, plus there will be magicians, and jump rope performers! There may even be surprise character appearances.

Plus, two new indoor stage shows will also debut on May 27, Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After and The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure.

Fun at Disney’s Resorts

And for those who are staying at either Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort or Disney’s Wilderness Lodge there will be additional Disney-themed activities, including character visits with set appearance times!

This summer is certainly a celebration for the kids at the Walt Disney World Resort! It’s set to last from May 27 through September 1!
