While it will arrive soon, the vessel is expected to officially enter service in 2027 after final construction and testing are completed.
Meet the Meg Gilbert Crofton
The new ferryboat will be named the Meg Gilbert Crofton, honoring the fourth president of Walt Disney World Resort.
Meg Crofton served as president from 2006 to 2013, and played a major role in shaping the modern Walt Disney World experience.
Her Contributions Include:
- Leading the development of New Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom
- Overseeing the opening of Disney’s Art of Animation Resort in 2012
- Helping guide one of the resort’s most significant periods of expansion
