First Look at the Universal Helios Grand Hotel

Wow! That’s honestly all I can say. My jaw is on the floor and I’m speechless. We got a first look today of the Universal Helios Grand Hotel, a Loews Hotel, which is part of the Universal Epic Universe theme park project. And it is simply spectacular.
This Universal Orlando Resort hotel will be a 550-room, majestic Mediterranean-inspired escape. It will rise above the gardens and waters of Celestial Park at Epic Universe. Designed to blend immersion and relaxation to create a hotel stay like no other. This resort features tranquil sleeping accommodations, entertaining amenities for the whole family, delicious dining options, a stunning rooftop bar. Oh and for the first time ever at a Universal property, the hotel will have its very own dedicated entrance to the new theme park.
Universal Helios Grand Hotel will be the crown jewel of Epic Universe and the pinnacle of Universal Orlando’s hotel experiences.
What to Expect at the Universal Helios Grand Hotel
Guests will immediately will be transported to a fantastical world within the palace of Helios, who is the Greek god of the sun. The hotel will be adorned with beautiful details of celestial patterns, dazzling constellations and elegant yet casual Mediterranean design elements. And even better – through the lobby’s magnificent floor-to-ceiling windows is a breathtaking view of Celestial Park. Trust us….you’ll want to see this view both in the daytime and DEFINITELY at night.
The Guest Rooms
The hotel will feature bright, inviting and warm guest rooms and suites. These spaces will evoke the tranquility of a blissful garden. Oh and of course, many of the rooms will offer up FANTASTIC views of Epic Universe.
If you have little ones, you’ll for sure want to stay in the exclusive How to Train Your Dragon Kids’ Suites. Here little ones can rest amongst dragons in a colorful room inspired by the Viking village of Berk.
Dedicated Entrance to the Park

It will feature zero-entry, underwater speakers, poolside cabanas available for rent, a hot tub, poolside movies, recreational activities and more.
Other great amenities at the hotel will include a complimentary state-of-the-art fitness center, a game room, and a Universal Orlando Resort Store.
Dining at Universal Helios Grand Hotel
Of course, another huge part of staying in a hotel are the great dining options. There will be a variety of choices Guests can choose from at Universal Grand Helios Hotel.
The main centerpiece of this resort will be Bar Helios. This will be a rooftop lounge that will offer a delectable menu of tapas and familiar favorites and thoughtfully-handcrafted specialty cocktails. Oh and let’s not forget that incredible 360-degree views of Epic Universe. This will be THE SPOT to visit at this hotel. (Honestly, this view reminds me of one I had when visiting Paris one time….different vistas….I had a view of the Eiffel Tower there, but this one will be pretty breathtaking, I suspect too.)
Flora Taverna will be a full-service restaurant offering breakfast, lunch and dinner and lobby bar. It will feature a light and airy atmosphere, as well as an open-style kitchen with live cooking. The restaurant will offer Mediterranean comfort foods, pizza ovens, and al fresco seating overlooking the scenery of Celestial Park.
At Aurora Market, you’ll find a contemporary coffee shop and market. The space will offer freshly-roasted coffees, grab-and-go food items and snack and dessert options from morning to night.
Looking for something poolside? That’s where Lotus Lagoon fits the bill! This will be a poolside bar and grill where guests can cool off with cocktails or non-alcoholic drinks and enjoy casual fare options like burgers, salads, sandwiches and more.
Exclusive Theme Park Benefits
Guests staying at Universal Helios Grand Hotel, or any of the other Universal Orlando hotels, receive Early Park Admission to enjoy select attractions at the theme parks. And yes, this exclusive perk WILL expand to include Universal Epic Universe when the park opens in 2025. Guests will be able to take advantage of the parks up to one hour before the park opens with valid theme park admission. Universal Orlando hotel guests can also take advantage of complimentary shuttle bus transportation to the theme parks and Universal CityWalk, resort-wide charging privileges, complimentary merchandise delivery and more.
Final Thoughts
Seriously….I am absolutely floored by the look of this hotel. This looks incredibly grand and very luxurious and I CANNOT wait to stay here. I texted my brother and even said, this looks like a great place for a staycation or even for those that didn’t even want to visit the parks. (I mean, you should totally visit the parks, but if you didn’t want to, I would absolutely want to stay here.
