El Carrusel de los Animalitos Coming to Tropical Americas
A new family-friendly attraction is coming to Tropical Americas at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and it is putting some of Disney and Pixar’s most beloved animal characters front and center.
Disney has officially announced the name of the new carousel attraction: El Carrusel de los Animalitos.
Designed specifically for Disney’s Animal Kingdom, this colorful attraction will offer guests of all ages a relaxing ride surrounded by familiar animal friends from Disney and Pixar stories.
Meet the Animal Characters
El Carrusel de los Animalitos will feature 22 hand-carved animal figures, each inspired by beloved Disney and Pixar stories.
Among the characters guests can expect to find are:
- Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh
- Pua from Moana
- Ray from The Princess and the Frog
And those are just a few of the animal friends that will be part of the experience.
The hand-carved figures will give the attraction a distinctive artistic style while celebrating animals and characters that Disney fans already know and love.
A Carousel Designed for Animal Kingdom
While a carousel is a classic Disney attraction, El Carrusel de los Animalitos will put a uniquely Animal Kingdom spin on the traditional experience.
The attraction has been designed to complement the themes of Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It will celebrate animals, nature, storytelling, and the connections between people and the natural world.
Rather than simply recreating a traditional carousel, Imagineers are creating an experience that feels specifically connected to Tropical Americas.
A Family-Friendly Attraction
One of the biggest advantages of El Carrusel de los Animalitos is that it will be an attraction that guests of all ages can enjoy.

El Carrusel de los Animalitos will join the two headlining attractions coming to Tropical Americas: Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto and Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent.
Together, the attractions will help create a new area of Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
