Country Bear Jamboree

Well, it’s a sad day in my household and I can BEARLY contain my disappointment. That’s because word officially came out that the Country Bear Jamboree will close on January 27, 2024 to make way for a brand new, updated version of the attraction.

What to Expect With the New Version of Country Bear Jamboree

This new version at the Magic Kingdom will pay homage to the Opry-style shows in Nashville. Disney has stated that they are working with Nashville musicians to get that authentic country sound.

The fun and friendly tone will still be there in the attraction when it re-debuts. And yes, the Country Bear Musical Jamboree will include easter eggs from the beginning to the end. This includes a familiar tune fans adore, however, the bears will sing new, reinterpreted Disney tunes in different genres of country music. Genres will include bluegrass, pop-country, Americana, rockabilly and other styles.

This updated version of the show will also feature some of your favorite characters. They will include the likes of Big Al, Henry, Trixie, Wendell, and more.

The Country Bear Musical Jamboree will reopen later this summer with the new version.

I’m so bummed to find out that the attraction is closing just days after visiting the Magic Kingdom. I totally missed experiencing this this past weekend. Now won’t be able to see it before it closes for good again. I am just happy I got to take my daughter to see it before it went away in this current iteration. This attraction holds such a special place in my heart, even if songs like “All The Guys That Turn Me On Turn Me Down” and “Mama Don’t Whoop Little Buford” are a bit suspect.

So, thanks for the memories Country Bear Jamboree! We’ve enjoyed BEARing with you until the BEAR end. There are at least some of us that will miss you!
