Get ready to let the good times roll! Universal Mardi Gras: International Flavors of Carnaval is officially returning to Universal Studios Florida at Universal Orlando Resort from February 6 through March 27, 2027.

The fan-favorite seasonal event transforms Universal Studios Florida into a massive celebration filled with global cuisine, live entertainment, a spectacular Mardi Gras parade and, of course, plenty of beads.

Even better, Universal Mardi Gras is included with regular theme park admission, making it easy to experience the festivities during a day at Universal Studios Florida.

Here’s what we know so far about Universal Mardi Gras 2027.

When Is Universal Mardi Gras 2027?

Universal Mardi Gras: International Flavors of Carnaval runs February 6 through March 27, 2027.

Throughout the event, guests can expect special food and drinks, entertainment and plenty of lively atmosphere throughout Universal Studios Florida.

Additional details, including the 2027 food menus and concert lineup, have not yet been announced.

What Is Universal Mardi Gras?

If you’ve never experienced Universal Mardi Gras, imagine a little bit of New Orleans mixed with Carnaval celebrations from around the world, all taking place inside Universal Studios Florida.

Some of the biggest highlights traditionally include:

• A massive nighttime parade featuring elaborate floats and plenty of bead tossing
• Live concerts from popular artists at the Music Plaza Stage
• International Flavors of Carnaval food booths featuring dishes inspired by destinations around the world
• Festive cocktails, mocktails and sweet treats
• Mardi Gras entertainment and a high-energy party atmosphere throughout the park

And yes, you’ll probably leave wearing more beads than you ever expected!

Universal Mardi Gras Parade

One of the biggest reasons to experience Universal Mardi Gras is the nighttime parade.

Elaborately designed floats make their way through Universal Studios Florida as performers fill the streets and guests attempt to catch as many colorful beads as possible.

The parade is consistently one of our favorite parts of the event. Whether you’re watching the floats for the first time or you’re determined to add another dozen necklaces to your collection, it’s hard not to get caught up in the energy.

International Flavors of Carnaval

Come hungry because food is a HUGE part of Universal Mardi Gras.

International Flavors of Carnaval brings together dishes inspired by Carnaval celebrations and destinations around the globe.

Guests can typically find everything from savory entrées and shareable snacks to desserts, cocktails and non-alcoholic specialty drinks at food booths throughout Universal Studios Florida.

Menus change from year to year, with a mixture of returning favorites and new creations.

The 2027 food and drink menus have not yet been revealed, so we’ll be watching for more details as the event gets closer.

Universal Mardi Gras 2027 Concerts

Another major highlight is the Universal Mardi Gras concert series.

Select nights bring popular artists to the Music Plaza Stage for concerts that are included with regular Universal Studios Florida admission.

The 2027 concert lineup has not yet been announced.

To give you an idea of the variety of performers the event can attract, the previous year’s lineup included artists such as Tyler Hubbard, Bebe Rexha, Barenaked Ladies, Joey Fatone and AJ McLean, and RuPaul.

We’ll update this guide once Universal announces the performers and concert dates for 2027.

Is Universal Mardi Gras Included With Park Admission?

Yes! One of the best things is that the event is included with regular admission to Universal Studios Florida.

Unlike separately ticketed nighttime events, like Halloween Horror Nights, you don’t need to purchase a dedicated event ticket to enjoy the general festivities.

That means you can spend your day riding attractions and exploring Universal Studios Florida before transitioning into an evening filled with Mardi Gras food, entertainment, beads and more.
