Animal Actors On Location! Closing at Universal Orlando: Final Performance Date & What We Know

Big news from Universal Orlando Resort! Another longtime attraction at Universal Studios Florida is preparing to take its final bow.

Universal Orlando has confirmed that Animal Actors On Location! will permanently close on November 3, 2026, bringing an end to the live animal show at Universal Studios Florida.

Guests will have one final opportunity to experience this opening day attraction on Monday, November 2, when Animal Actors On Location! hosts its final performances.

At this time, Universal Orlando has not announced what will replace the show or what could eventually happen to the area following its closure.

What Is Animal Actors On Location!?

Animal Actors On Location! is a family-friendly live show showcasing trained animal performers through a combination of live skits, video segments and audience interaction.

Throughout the approximately 20-minute show, guests can see a variety of talented animal actors take the stage, including dogs, cats, birds and more.

The animals demonstrate different behaviors and tricks while the show’s trainers give guests a glimpse at how animals are trained to perform for movies and television.

The result is part comedy show, part behind-the-scenes demonstration and part animal showcase.

A Look Behind the Scenes at Animal Training

While there’s plenty of comedy throughout Animal Actors On Location!, the show also gives guests an opportunity to learn more about how animal performers are trained.

Trainers demonstrate how they communicate with the animals and encourage them to perform different behaviors, giving audiences a glimpse into the techniques used when working with animal actors.

Audience participation also plays a role in the experience, with select guests getting the chance to become part of the show.

What Will Replace Animal Actors On Location!?

For now, that’s the big unanswered question.

Universal Orlando has not revealed what will replace this attraction or whether the closure is connected to a larger project planned for this portion of Universal Studios Florida.

With the attraction permanently closing rather than temporarily going dark for refurbishment, we’ll certainly be keeping an eye on the area for signs of what’s coming next.

Until Universal makes an announcement, however, anything regarding a potential replacement remains speculation.
