Disney has officially confirmed that a new resort hotel is currently in the works once again. The previously announced Disney Vacation Club property, Reflections – A Disney Lakeside Lodge will now be called Disney Lakeshore Lodge.

Construction was previously taking place, however was halted due to the pandemic. Disney has stated that they have once again started working on this hotel. It is projected to open in 2027.

The resort will be located on the shores of Bay Lake, nestled near Disney’s Fort Wilderness. It will be inspired by the majesty of nature and its influence on Disney artists.

While not officially confirmed, it also appears that Disney may have gone back to the drawing board on this resort hotel and reconfigured the look. At the time, many did not like the original look of Reflections and stated that it looked WAY too generic to be a Disney hotel. Also, the name was WAY too generic too, so it’s nice to see that they’ve updated that, as well. Disney Lakeshore Lodge sounds much better, in my opinion.

Disney Lakeshore Lodge will be situation in the location of the former River Country water park, right between Disney’s Fort Wilderness and Disney’s Wilderness Lodge.
