2024 EPCOT Cookie Stroll Review
One of my husband and my favorite things to do during the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays (besides taking in the Holiday storytellers) is to take part in the EPCOT Cookie Stroll! Each year, Guests can purchase 5 cookies (they can all be the same cookie, or they can be different ones from different booths) and when they’ve done that, they’ll head to the Holiday Sweets and Treats booth for a special prize.
While you don’t HAVE to complete it all in one day, part of the fun, for us anyway, is to try all the cookies in the same day. We also have a rule that we have to try 5 different cookies. We won’t just buy 5 cookies at one booth and call it a day.
So, we set out for our stroll on opening day of the festival for this year.
Cookie Stroll Container
Ironically, one of the things I meant to do was to grab some tuperware to store my cookies in. I knew after last year that these cookies are quite large, even if splitting and that I would like to not have to eat them all in one sitting. (Just so much sugar!) But, I’d forgotten to grab the container. Imagine my surprise and delight when I get to EPCOT and see that this year they are actually SELLING a Cookie Stroll container for $24.99! (It was $21 with my Annual Pass discount.)
This Cookie Stroll container has been SO popular this year that it’s often sold out. Now, some stories online go that they are sold out completely for the rest of the holidays, and some say they only have a limited number available starting in the morning and once they sell out, they are gone for the day. Your mileage may vary.
Overall, I think it was a genius idea by Disney to introduce a plastic tub for carrying these cookies in. I got asked frequently on opening day where I purchased by container. So I knew they were going to be popular, I just didn’t realize they would become this phenomenon!
Let’s Begin the Stroll
This year, I knew I wanted to try all new cookies that I hadn’t had before. That is with one exception. Last year, we only had one good cookie and that was the Cinnamon-spiced Chocolate Crinkle Cookie from Nochebuena Cocina. This one was quite yummy! It’s got a nice chocolate flavor and the spice is subtle. It reminds me of an iced oatmeal cookie, just with chocolate flavor.
Next, we went with the new Coffee Mocha Cookie topped with coffee-infused buttercream, cocoa nibs, and chocolate-covered espresso beans from Mele Kalikimaka Holiday Kitchen. This one was excellent. Especially if you like coffee. It had a very rich coffee flavor. The cookie itself kind of reminded me in a way of a Crumbl cookie. It was quite excellent. One of my favorites overall.
Our third cookie ended up being at the Bavaria booth. Now, Disney has claimed that this is a Hazelnut Linzer cookie. I was super excited to try it because the last few years it’s been a raspberry linzer cookie and I hate raspberry. So….imagine my disappointment when I’m given the cookie and see that it’s got a raspberry filling on the inside. It’s a good cookie and if you like raspberry, you’ll love it. It’s super raspberry flavored. But for me, I was incredibly sad that I wasn’t given the cookie that I was expecting.
We made our way back to World Nature so that we could go to The Land Pavilion. Here’s where we would find the fourth cookie for our stroll. We picked up the Peanut Butter Cookie made with Red & Green M&M’S Milk Chocolate Minis. This one was for the peanut butter lovers for sure! It was a thick cookie…kind of a mix between cookie and brownie, to be honest in consistency. I liked that it was hefty. It felt like it was worth my money. And it was quite delicious too.
The last cookie we tried was the Spaceship Earth Tile Gingerbread Triangle from the new booth Experimental Prototype Cookies of Tomorrow. Now….let me be perfectly honest with you. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS COOKIE. Please, if you get anything from this article, please let that be your take away. This cookie cost WAY more money than any other cookie on the cookie stroll….it was $10. (Most cookies ranged from $3-$4…much more manageable.) And it tasted like garbage. It didn’t have a very strong gingerbread taste. It was like eating drywall. The only saving grace was the chocolate coating on the bottom.
The Cookie Stroll Prize
As I mentioned, once you’ve purchased 5 cookies, you can head to the Holiday Sweets and Treats booth for your prize. Usually it’s another cookie, however, this year, Disney actually gave out the ability to MAKE cookies! They gave Guests a cookie making kit that included a gingerbread cookie mix, M&Ms and sprinkles. It doesn’t look like it makes a whole heck of a lot of cookies, but still, I really liked this year’s prize!

We had a blast this year doing the cookie stroll. Just take a look at our video…you can see how much we enjoy doing it each year. It started as a fluke last year and we’ve been excited to do it again this year. And I can promise we’ll do it again next year too! It’s just a lot of fun and a great way to celebrate the holidays, as well as participate in the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays. I strongly suggest, if you’re looking for something fun to do with your family, definitely consider participating in the EPCOT Cookie Stroll!
