Universal Epic Universe Announces New Indoor Roller Coaster Coming to Dark Universe
Universal Epic Universe is already getting ready for its next big attraction, and this one is bringing even more thrills to Dark Universe!
Just over a year after the park officially opened, Universal Orlando Resort has announced an all-new indoor roller coaster coming to Dark Universe. For those who don’t know: this is the monster-filled world inspired by Universal’s classic horror films.
The upcoming attraction will feature an entirely new story inspired by the iconic Universal Monsters franchise, adding another major experience to one of Epic Universe’s most immersive lands.
And the best part? Construction is already underway!
A New Indoor Roller Coaster Is Coming to Dark Universe
The new roller coaster will be located next to Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment. This is one of the signature attractions in Dark Universe and one of the most incredible in all of Epic Universe.
While Universal hasn’t revealed the coaster’s official name or storyline, they have confirmed that the attraction will take guests on an all-new adventure inspired by its legendary monsters. That opens the door to some pretty exciting possibilities!
Dark Universe is already home to some of Universal’s most recognizable horror characters, including Frankenstein’s Monster, Dracula, the Wolf Man, and other classic creatures.
The land currently features two major attractions:
- Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment: A dark ride that takes guests deep into Dr. Victoria Frankenstein’s laboratory, where an experiment unleashes some of Universal’s most terrifying monsters.
- Curse of the Werewolf: A spinning roller coaster that sends guests racing through the woods as they try to escape a werewolf’s curse.
When Will the New Dark Universe Roller Coaster Open?
Universal has confirmed that construction is already underway, but an official opening date has not been announced.
For now, they say the new attraction is planned to open in the years ahead.
Epic Universe Is Already Expanding!
It’s pretty exciting to see Universal Epic Universe preparing for another major attraction so soon after opening.
And considering how much detail Universal put into creating the original land, we’re especially curious to see what kind of story the new attraction will tell.
Will we encounter The Invisible Man? The Wolf Man? Or perhaps an entirely different creature from Universal’s legendary monster collection?
