Disney World New Holiday Ride Overlays Announced: Cosmic Rewind, Muppets & Lilypad’s Jams
By Rikki
Three Disney World Attractions Are Getting Holiday Music for 2026
Get ready to rock around Walt Disney World this holiday season! Three attractions are getting festive holiday overlays, bringing limited-time holiday songs to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
At EPCOT, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will shuffle through three seasonal songs beginning November 25. Meanwhile, Disney’s Hollywood Studios will get into the spirit even earlier, with holiday versions of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets and Alien Swirling Saucers: Lilypad’s Jams beginning November 4.
Here’s everything you need to know about the three holiday overlays coming to Walt Disney World in 2026.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind Gets Three Holiday Songs
This year, saving the galaxy is getting a little more festive!
From November 25, 2026, through January 6, 2027, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT will feature three holiday songs.
Instead of one dedicated holiday track, guests will have the opportunity to hear one of three seasonal songs, shuffled to make each trip through the attraction a little different.
The holiday playlist includes:
- “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” – Andy Williams
- “Christmas Eve/Sarajevo 12/24” – Trans-Siberian Orchestra
- “Christmas Wrapping” – The Waitresses
That adds another element of surprise to Cosmic Rewind, since you won’t know which of the three holiday tracks you’ll get until it’s time to save the galaxy.
It also means repeat rides could result in a completely different soundtrack. Who else is going to be trying to collect all three?
Celebrate the Holidays at EPCOT
The Cosmic Rewind holiday songs arrive just before another major EPCOT holiday tradition begins.
The EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays runs November 27 through December 30, 2026, bringing holiday traditions from around the world to the park.
Between the festival, seasonal food and drinks, holiday entertainment and now three different Cosmic Rewind songs, there will be plenty of ways to celebrate at EPCOT this year.
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets Gets a Holiday Overlay
Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, The Electric Mayhem is getting into the holiday spirit.
From November 4, 2026, through January 6, 2027, guests can experience Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets: Obligatory Holiday Overlay.
And yes, we absolutely love that name.
The limited-time experience puts a holiday spin on The Electric Mayhem’s concert as the band prepares a festive seasonal set.
Inside G-Force Records, guests will find Dr. Teeth, Animal, Floyd, Janice, Zoot and Lips rehearsing for their holiday spectacular. As they work on the seasonal show, a few familiar Muppet friends will stop by to lend a hand, or at least attempt to.
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets Holiday Songs
The limited-time holiday set list features four songs:
- “Holiday Road” – The Electric Mayhem featuring Kermit the Frog and Fozzie Bear
- “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)” – The Electric Mayhem featuring Jennifer Hudson
- “Silver Bells” – The Electric Mayhem featuring Cyndi Lauper
- “Little Saint Nick” – The Electric Mayhem
With four possible tracks, this could be another attraction you’ll want to ride more than once during your holiday trip.
Alien Swirling Saucers: Lilypad’s Jams Gets Holiday Music
The holidays are even spreading to Toy Story Land!
Alien Swirling Saucers recently received its Lilypad’s Jams musical update, and DJ Lilypad isn’t wasting any time putting together a holiday playlist.
From November 4, 2026, through January 6, 2027, guests can spin with the Little Green Men while listening to new takes on festive favorites.
Lilypad’s Jams Holiday Songs
DJ Lilypad’s holiday playlist includes:
- “Deck the Halls”
- “Toyland”
- “Swirling, Swirling, Saucers”
- “Joy to the Swirl”
The new music gives guests another reason to check out the recently updated attraction and adds even more holiday atmosphere to Toy Story Land.
