Plaza de la Familia will once again take over Paradise Gardens Park at Disney California Adventure from August 21 through November 2, 2026, bringing the traditions of Día de los Muertos to life through music, storytelling, food, art, and family remembrance.

Inspired by Disney and Pixar’s beloved film Coco, the seasonal celebration invites guests to honor loved ones while experiencing the vibrant colors, sounds, and traditions of Mexican culture.

Celebrate the Spirit of Día de los Muertos

Plaza de la Familia has become a guest favorite thanks to its unique blend of entertainment, cultural traditions, and Disney storytelling.

Throughout Paradise Gardens Park, guests will discover a festive atmosphere featuring:

• A stunning marigold arch
• Colorful calaca (skeleton) statues
• A memory wall where guests can leave notes in remembrance of loved ones

Experience the Musical World of Coco

One of the highlights of Plaza de la Familia is the return of “The Storytellers of Plaza de la Familia Celebrate the Musical World of Coco!”

This lively performance features a traveling troupe of storytellers who bring the story and music of Coco to life through song and narration.

Guests can enjoy beloved favorites including “Remember Me” and “The World Es Mi Familia”

The show continues to be one of the most popular entertainment offerings during the celebration and captures the heart and emotion that made Coco such a beloved film.

Live Mariachi Music Returns

Guests can also enjoy live mariachi performances at the Paradise Garden Bandstand throughout the celebration.

Paradise Garden Grill will feature a variety of seasonal menu items, including the returning fan-favorite Chilaquiles Carnitas Torta.
