Interactive Ewok Adventure Buddy Coming to Droid Depot at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

A brand-new interactive companion is making its way to Droid Depot at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. Beginning August 13, 2026, guests visiting Disneyland Resort will be able to purchase an interactive Ewok Adventure Buddy, the first release in Disney’s all-new Batuu Adventure Buddies collection.

While the Ewok debuts exclusively at Disneyland Park, Disney has confirmed that two additional Adventure Buddies will arrive at a later date, with the complete collection eventually making its way to Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World.

Meet the First Batuu Adventure Buddy

The adorable Ewok Adventure Buddy is more than just a plush toy. Designed by a fictional crew of Anzellan manufacturers, the interactive companion features expressive eyes, motorized facial expressions, and a variety of sounds that bring the character to life.

Guests can expect the Ewok to giggle, laugh, chatter, and react with personality, making it feel like a true companion during their adventures through Black Spire Outpost.

Even better, the Ewok is designed to interact with droids built or purchased at Droid Depot, adding another layer of storytelling for Star Wars fans.

Interactive Features

The Batuu Adventure Buddy responds to a variety of touch controls, allowing guests to unlock different animations and sound effects.

Tap Controls

• Tap the head once or tap the belly twice to trigger random reactions, sounds, and expressions.

Special Hidden Animations

Guests can also activate two unique interactive experiences.

Endor Dance Party

Three quick taps on the Ewok’s head trigger the Endor Dance Party, complete with rhythmic eye animations and traditional Ewokese chanting and drumming. If other Ewok Adventure Buddies are nearby, they may even join in on the celebration.

Forest Call Chain

By rapidly tapping the Ewok’s belly twice while near other Adventure Buddies, guests can activate the Forest Call Chain. The Ewok lets out a scout call, prompting nearby interactive toys to answer back in their own unique languages, creating a fun shared experience.

Customize Your Ewok

Guests looking to personalize their new companion can also purchase optional accessories for an additional cost.

Disney has not yet revealed the full lineup of accessories, but they will allow guests to customize their Ewok and make it uniquely their own as they explore Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

Coming Soon to Walt Disney World

While no date has been announced yet, Disney has confirmed that two additional interactive companions will be released in the future, with the entire Batuu Adventure Buddies collection eventually arriving at Droid Depot inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
