What’s New at Disney Jollywood Nights For 2024
This year, Disney Jollywood Nights will return and while last year’s event was a little rocky for its first year, this year, Disney is introducing a number of new opportunities and changes that will hopefully make this separately ticketed Disney’s Hollywood Studios event event better.
Disney Jollywood Nights takes place on select nights from November 9 through December 21. The event is an evening of Hollywood glamour, holiday merriment, and Disney nostalgia.
Let’s take a look at some of the new aspects for this year’s experience.
“Glisten” – A Skating Spectacular
The first new experience for Disney Jollywood Nights is an ice-skating show, right in Florida! “Glisten” will take place on Hollywood Boulevard. The show will take place several times each evening as international champion skaters perform breathtaking routines set to a vibrant holiday soundtrack with a backdrop on projections on the Chinese Theater. The show will feature original songs and Disney favorites like “Be Our Guest” and “When You Wish Upon A Star.”
New Dance Parties
Guests will want to make sure to head to the all-new Pixar-themed dance party, where Joy, Frozone, Edna Mode, and other Pixar pals invite you to the dance floor.
Also, this year at Holiday Fiesta en la Calle, which brings Latin street fair flair in a new location at Animation Courtyard, Guests will find José Carioca and Panchito from The Three Caballeros this year!
Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! Moves to an Earlier Time
One of my biggest complaints last year after attending the party was the fact that the fireworks spectacular, Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! was at midnight. This year, Disney heard the suggestions to move the show up and now it will take place at 10 p.m.
For those who have never caught the show before, it takes Guests on a festive journey to the North Pole with the elves from “Prep & Landing.” The Chinese Theater comes alive with holiday moments from Disney favorites like “Pluto’s Christmas Tree,” “Mickey’s Christmas Carol,” and “Beauty and the Beast,” all leading up to a sparkling finale. Do we save Santa? You’ll have to watch to find out!
New Photo Ops
This year, Guests will be able to meet not only new characters to pose with, but there will also be new backdrops. So, whether you’re taking pics on ABC Commissary Lane or by Echo Lake, posing in front of a camera array near Animation Courtyard, or stepping behind the scenes of “The Muppets Christmas Carol” (I’m sorry….say that one again…MUPPETS CHRISTMAS CAROL?!) there will be great spots to get your holiday photos taken!
And yes, I did mention new character experiences too. Guests will be able to spot The Mandalorian in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, or visit Toy Story Land for fun photo moments with Bo Peep and Lotso.
New Ollie Merchandise
Ollie is the mascot for this event and this year, there will be lots of great merchandise themed after this dapper gingerbread man! There will have a full collection exclusive to the party you’ll
definitely want to grab.
