Disney Cruise Line Palo Restaurants Switch to À La Carte Dining Starting October 22, 2026

Disney Cruise Line Is Making a Big Change to Palo Dining in October 2026
If you have a dinner reservation at Palo, Palo Steakhouse, or Palo Trattoria on an upcoming Disney cruise, there’s an important change you’ll want to know about.
Beginning October 22, 2026, Disney Cruise Line will begin transitioning these adult-exclusive restaurants away from their prix-fixe dinner menus in favor of à la carte dining.
The change will roll out across the Disney fleet over several days, with the final transition scheduled for October 26.
For guests who prefer ordering individual dishes rather than choosing a set-price meal, this will bring more flexibility to the Palo dining experience.
When Will Palo Switch to À La Carte Dining?
Disney Cruise Line is introducing the new dinner format in phases, so the date depends on which ship you’re sailing aboard.
Here’s the complete rollout schedule:
| Date | Disney Cruise Line Ships |
|---|---|
| October 22, 2026 | Disney Wonder |
| October 23, 2026 | Disney Fantasy, Disney Dream, Disney Wish |
| October 24, 2026 | Disney Magic, Disney Treasure, Disney Destiny |
| October 26, 2026 | Disney Adventure |
Once the transition takes effect on each ship, Palo, Palo Steakhouse, and Palo Trattoria will offer à la carte dinner dining instead of the prix-fixe menu.
What Does À La Carte Dining Mean for Palo Guests?
Previously, the prix-fixe dinner option allowed guests to enjoy a meal at a set price. With the transition to à la carte dining, guests will instead select and pay for individual menu items.
This could be especially appealing if you want to customize your dinner, order a particular favorite, or enjoy a lighter meal without committing to a full prix-fixe experience.
Platinum and Pearl Castaway Club Members Keep Their $55 Dining Credit
There’s good news for Disney Cruise Line’s most loyal guests!
Platinum and Pearl Castaway Club Members will continue receiving a $55 per-person dining credit to use toward eligible à la carte dinner selections.
The benefit also extends to guests staying in the same stateroom as the eligible Platinum or Pearl Castaway Club Member.
What About Palo Brunch?
The announced transition specifically concerns the prix-fixe dinner menu.
Disney has not announced a corresponding change to brunch dining as part of this update.
What This Means for Your Next Disney Cruise
Palo has long been a favorite for guests looking to enjoy an adult-exclusive dining experience while sailing with Disney Cruise Line.
Moving away from the prix-fixe dinner menu gives guests more control over what they order and how they build their meal.
The biggest consideration will be pricing. Without a set-price dinner option, the final cost will depend on the dishes each guest chooses.
If you have a Palo reservation on or after your ship’s transition date, it’s worth reviewing the menu before your cruise so you know what to expect.
