Soarin’ Over California Ending at EPCOT

Well, we knew it had to end sometime. The OG version, Soarin’ Over California will end its limited run at EPCOT on February 27. The updated version, Soarin’ Around the World will come back to the Walt Disney World Resort beginning February 28.

Soarin’ Over California returned as part of the 100th anniversary of the Walt Disney Company called Disney100. The attraction has Guests “flying” over landscapes from California, like the Golden Gate Bridge, the redwood forest, and more.

During the Around the World version, it has Guests “flying” past things like the Taj Mahal, the Eiffel Tower, and the Great Wall of China.

Final Thoughts

Truthfully, I am said to see Soarin’ Over California go. Personally, I find it to be far superior to Soarin’ Around the World for many reasons. But, there is precedent on the original returning from time to time now, as this is frequently done at Disney California Adventure, who also has the same attraction. (Speaking of that, Soarin’ Over California WILL be returning to that park for a limited run, beginning March 1.) What do you think though? Which version do you prefer? Let me know!
