Wow! I can’t believe it’s almost time to start thinking about runDisney Marathon Weekend at Walt Disney World once again, but here we are! (I feel like I was just there cheering for the last Marathon Weekend!) The runDisney 2025 Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend will be taking place January 8-12, 2025. This year’s marathon weekend will include touches reminiscent of a classic Disney era. This year’s race weekend will be a little extra ‘goofy’ as it is the 20th anniversary of Goofy’s Race and a Half Challenge!

Here are the themes for the 2025 runDisney Marathon Weekend:

  • Walt Disney World 5K | Pluto
  • Walt Disney World 10K | Chip ‘N Dale
  • Walt Disney World Half Marathon | Donald Duck & Daisy Duck
  • Walt Disney World Marathon | Mickey Mouse & Minnie Mouse

  • 20th Anniversary Goofy’s Race & A Half Challenge | Goofy
  • Dopey Challenge | Dopey

Want to run the 2025 event? General Registration is on April 9, 2024. (Club runDisney Gold & Platinum Member Registration will take place on April 2, 2024.)

Final Thoughts

runDisney Marathon Weekend is always one of my favorites. Yes, it’s exhausting, both for the runners and the cheerers, but it’s a great time filled with comradery and a sense of pride and accomplishment. If you’ve never been, it’s hard to put into words. There’s really nothing like it.

But now, I want to know your thoughts. Which race or races will you be running or cheering for? You can share with me in the comments or on social! Find me on FacebookXYouTubeInstagram, Threads, and TikTok.
