Disney Villains Land Coming to Magic Kingdom

Are you ready to get villainous? Because soon, Walt Disney World guests will have the chance to celebrate their love of Disney’s most iconic villains at a brand-new Disney Villains Land coming to Magic Kingdom.
During the Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro officially announced that a fully dedicated land inspired by Disney Villains is in development, and preparation is already underway. That’s right! This expansion is happening.
Where Will Disney Villains Land Be Located?
For years, fans have speculated about what would go “Beyond Big Thunder.” While details were scarce, many believed Cars-themed attractions might fill that space.
Instead, Disney has confirmed something far more wicked. Cars Land will replace the Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island in Frontierland at Magic Kingdom and Villains Land will be located beyond Big Thunder!
This marks one of the most significant transformations in the park’s history and expanding Magic Kingdom in a bold new direction.
What Is Coming to Disney Villains Land?
According to Disney, the new land will feature:
- Two major attractions
- Themed dining
- Unique shopping experiences
While specific ride concepts have not yet been officially detailed, Disney has emphasized that the land will celebrate the ambition, power, and dramatic storytelling of its legendary villains.
And when you think about the roster Disney has to work with including Maleficent, Ursula, Hades, the Evil Queen, Scar, Jafar, Cruella, and more, the possibilities truly are endless.
