“Mufasa” The Lion King” roars into theaters next week and to celebrate Disney Parks are going to be rolling out some fun new enhancements! Here’s what you can experience and where:
Experiences
Tree of Life Awakenings
Inspired by the film, this new projection offering on the Tree of Life at Disney’s Animal Kingdom follows the story of Mufasa and his rise to become king of the Pride Lands. It features a mashup of “Circle of Life” with a brand-new original score from Lin-Manuel Miranda called “Milele.” This offering will run for a limited time only.
Protect the Pride
In celebration of Disney’s “Mufasa: The Lion King,” Disney will support the Wildlife Conservation Network’s Lion Recovery Fund (LRF) as they work across Africa to double the number of lions in the wild by 2050.
Kilimanjaro Safaris
If you want to feel like you are taking a journey through the Pride Land, stop by Kilimanjaro Safaris to learn more about some of your favorite animals from “Mufasa: The Lion King” from now until January 4, 2025!
Mufasa-Themed Tree at Disney Springs Tree Stroll
Be sure to check out Disney Springs this holiday season to find the special “Mufasa: The Lion King”-themed Christmas tree as part of the Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll.
Disney PhotoPass
Look to the sky in your Disney PhotoPass photos taken at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, and you might find Mufasa watching over you. Disney PhotoPass photographers near the Tree of Life will be capturing this Magic Shot through January 24, 2025.

- Sunrise of the Kingdom: A blend of freshly brewed green tea, strawberry, and Minute Maid Premium Lemonade topped with passion fruit boba pearls. Available now through Jan. 31, 2025, at Harambe Market in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, B.B. Wolf’s Sausage Co. in Disney Springs, Landscape of Flavors in Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, and Boma – Flavors of Africa and Sanaa in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge.
- Mufasa Cake Bar: Cinnamon-vanilla mousse and vanilla chiffon with caramel chocolate-coated feuilletine crunch dipped in dark chocolate. Available now through Jan. 31, 2025, at Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs.
