Volcano Bay Updates – No More TapuTapu and a Seasonal Closure

Volcano Bay

Guests who visit Universal Orlando Resort’s Volcano Bay Water Theme Park will find a change to how they experience the park beginning in October. Universal Orlando says that the wearable, TapuTapu, as well as the Virtual Line option will no longer be in use at Volcano Bay beginning October 1, 2025.

TapuTapu

Visitors of this park will be able to visit attractions at their leisure, moving forward. Which I think is a great move.

In addition, for you planners, this is one to mark on your calendars. Volcano Bay will see a seasonal closure beginning on October 26, 2026 (so not this year, but next year) and it will reopen on or before March 24, 2027. (Obviously depending on things like weather and other issues that may pop up.)
