Disneyland Ending 11 AM Park Hopping Restriction in June

Big changes are coming to Disneyland Resort park hopping! Beginning June 9, 2026, guests with:
- Park Hopper tickets
- Magic Key annual passes
…will officially be able to move between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure without waiting until 11 a.m.
This marks one of the biggest updates to Disneyland’s reservation and park hopping policies in years.
No More Waiting Until 11 AM
Since Disneyland Resort reopened with the reservation system in place, guests wanting to park hop have been required to:
- Start in their reserved “starting park”
- Wait until 11 a.m. before entering the second park
That restriction is now going away.
Guests Still Need to Choose a Starting Park
Even though the 11 a.m. restriction is ending, Disneyland guests will still need to:
- Select a starting park when making reservations
So while hopping becomes much more flexible, the reservation system itself is not fully disappearing.
Why This Is a Big Deal
For many Disneyland fans, this change is HUGE because it restores a level of flexibility that guests loved before the reservation system existed.
The update means guests can:
- Grab breakfast in one park and immediately hop to another
- Ride attractions with lower wait times more strategically
- Move more freely throughout the day
It also makes spontaneous touring much easier.
Final Thoughts
The removal of Disneyland’s 11 a.m. park hopping restriction is a major win for guests.
Being able to move freely between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure once again makes Park Hopper tickets feel significantly more valuable and restores some of the spontaneity that makes Disneyland vacations so fun.
