Dress Code Updated For Palo Brunch on Disney Cruise Line
For those of you….like me….who absolutely must enjoy a nice brunch at Palo when sailing onboard Disney Cruise Line, there’s an update to the dress code that was released today that you should know about!
Beginning today, Disney Cruise Line has stated that dress shorts are now acceptable when enjoying brunch at Palo and Palo Steakhouse. This change is applicable for every ship – the Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, and the Disney Wish. Do keep in mind that dinner does not allow for dress shorts.
For those who have never been, the adult-exclusive restaurants aboard Disney Cruise Line ships are elegant dining experiences. Guests are requested to dress in a manner consistent with the restaurant’s sophistication. So what does that mean? Well, consider this to be a fancier date night. Which means that it’s really recommended that Guests wear formal or semi-formal attire. Also permitted is dress-casual attire with a polished look, such as dress pants, jeans in good condition, collared shirts, dressy tops and lifestyle shoes. Guests may not wear T-shirts, swimwear and sports attire.
Final Thoughts
You know, I’m ok with this change. Yes, I do view Palo as my fancy, date meal, but I think dressier shorts at brunch can be appropriate. Styles are changing and those kinds of shorts are definitely becoming more and more acceptable, especially at a meal like brunch. Now, I definitely can understand why they wouldn’t allow shorts for dinner. And I don’t think I would want to see that change. But what do you think? Let me know!
