Have you been to the Walt Disney Resort recently? If you’ve looked across the water to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, you’ve likely seen a massive construction project taking place. This is slated to be the new Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows.

The Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows is expected to open in December 2024! It will be a 10 story tower that overlooks the Seven Seas Lagoon.

When Guests arrive at Island Tower, they will notice beautiful designs created exclusively for the exterior. This includes a gorgeous Manta Ray that symbolizes freedom, protection and grace.

Inside the lobby, Guests will be greeted by an art panel installation on the ceiling that is inspired by several Polynesian Islands. It will showcase wildlife that is native to each locale. Each animal holds a strong connection to the islands and symbolizes values important to Polynesians.

Final Thoughts

Woah! This new Walt Disney World DVC Resort looks FANCY! And honestly, it doesn’t exactly look like, at least from the concept art, that it matches the rest of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. I’ll be curious to see how cohesive it is when I step inside once it’s finally open. Either way, it looks stunning overall; simply gorgeous and very upscale.
