DisneyBand+ Now Available for Disney Wonder Sailings

DisneyBand+ has been rolling out slowly on Disney Cruise Line and soon it will be available for Guests sailing on the Disney Wonder beginning March 19, 2024. Guests sailing on that sailing and after can now purchase DisneyBand+ to use on their Disney Cruise.
DisneyBand+ is currently already available for guests onboard the Disney Wish, Disney Fantasy, Disney Dream and Disney Magic. The Disney Wonder is the last ship in the current fleet to offer the wearable technology. Guests on eligible sailings are able to purchase DisneyBand+ online 45-11 days prior to embarkation. Do keep in mind that your reservation must also be paid in full in order to be able to purchase.
What is DisneyBand+?
DisneyBand+ is a waterproof wristband designed to enhance your Disney cruise experience. Guests can use it to board the ship on embarkation day, accessing your stateroom, for charging specialty food and merchandise and beyond. According to Disney, DisneyBand+ adds convenience, fun and more magic to your cruise!
There are many different designs that Guests can choose from to purchase. These even include some Disney Cruise Line exclusives. Guests who already have a Walt Disney World Resort or Disneyland Resort MagicBand+ can use that as a DisneyBand+ during their Disney cruise.
Final Thoughts
I’m gonna be honest. I used DisneyBand+ on my last cruise and I thought it was not worth the money. Mine has never worked properly. I still to this day have trouble getting it to connect. Even when visiting the parks with it. When on the ship, the only thing it really worked for was as my room key. And I could have easily used my Key to the World card. It barely lit up and vibrated when experiencing things around the ship, only briefly lighting up during the fireworks.
I would say, don’t purchase this separately, but if you have one already or you REALLY want a Disney Cruise Line exclusive one, then it might be worth it.
