Well, we really are almost there. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opens on June 28, 2024 at the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World and Guests are clamoring to know every little detail about how to experience this attraction, as well as lots of other little nuggets about what to expect. So, we’re here to break it down for you.
As was released earlier today, Disney has shared that initally, there will be two ways to experience Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. The first will be a Virtual Queue option and the second will be in the Lightning Lane with Disney Genie+. At first, there will not be an option for riding the attraction in a Standby Queue, however, it does appear that one will be offered sooner rather than later.

Yes, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will still offer an on ride photo! With the new version, as you can see, it definitely takes it’s queue from the attraction’s story.
If you want to download this attraction photo, you can with Memory Maker. Memory Maker is a special add-on (that’s totally worth it in my opinion) and is essentially an all-inclusive photo package. It allows Guests the ability to download all of their Disney PhotoPass photos that are taken during their vacation. Including, this new Tiana’s Bayou Adventure on-ride option.
You can guarantee that attraction merchandise will be available! There are even two gift shops that will be open for Guests to choose from – Critter Co-Op and Tiana’s Bayou General.
At first, however, on June 28, Guests will find the collections for both the attraction AND “The Princess and the Frog”-inspired merchandise at the Emporium at Magic Kingdom. The other two shops will open with this merchandise shortly after the attraction debuts.
A trip to the bayou is never complete without some good eats and sweet treats. And you know what that means….beignets!
Beginning opening day, both Golden Oak Outpost and The Friar’s Nook will be serving up light, sweet and fluffy beignets drizzled with honey and powdered sugar. These will be available for a limited time only. (Though secretly I’m hoping they’ll just stay on the menu….because why not?!)
