Rock n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith Closing March 2026

The countdown is on. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith will permanently close on March 2, 2026, with the last day to ride set for March 1, 2026. After nearly 27 years of high-speed, rock-powered thrills, the attraction as we know it is taking its final bow at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
As a reminder, the attraction is currently already undergoing refurbishment work. Guests visiting recently may have noticed that the Aerosmith pre-show has been completely shuttered.
That’s because Imagineers have begun installing brand-new Audio-Animatronics of Scooter and the penguins, who will star in the attraction’s reimagined pre-show experience for its next chapter.
The Storyline of Rock n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets

Aerosmith fans may be saying goodbye, but Muppet fans have plenty to look forward to. Beginning Summer 2026, the attraction will reopen as Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, featuring an all-new storyline that blends classic Muppet chaos with high-speed thrills.
The Electric Mayhem are headlining their biggest Hollywood concert ever! There’s just one little problem: where is the band?
Across town at G-Force Records, we’re treated to a VIP tour of the legendary rock and roll recording studio. Things might look a little different though. That’s because the label has recently come under new management – The Muppets! They’ve landed some new digs… with just a little help from Scooter’s uncle, real estate tycoon and owner of the Muppet Theatre, J.P. Grosse. (He really puts the G in G-Force).

We’ll then roll across Hollywood on a wild ride with the Electric Mayhem, complete with backstage chaos, high-speed thrills, that signature Muppet humor!
