Walt Disney World

The Grand Floridian Gingerbread House Opens Soon

One of Guests’ favorite things to see during the holiday season at the Walt Disney World Resort is the famous Disney’s Grand Floridian Gingerbread House! It’s a tradition for many to stop by the resort and see the life-size house in person, smell the gingerbread in the air, and yes, grab a treat or two. (Who doesn’t love having a gingerbread shingle to snack on?)

Well, this year’s house is currently under construction and it’s coming along beautifully! And according to sources, the Grand Floridian Gingerbread house will open to Guests on November 6, 2024! (Initially reports indicated that it would be opening on November 8, so the timeline may have gotten moved up a couple of days!) We’ll keep you posted if we learn something different.

The Victorian gingerbread house is 16-feet tall. Oh and it actually serves as a real store where Guests can purchase holiday goodies from 10:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. daily.

In addition to the aforementioned gingerbread shingles iced with chocolate, Guests will find gingerbread cookies, gingerbread ornaments, miniature gingerbread houses. There are also chocolates including Disney characters, peppermint bark, assorted truffles and more!

Other popular gingerbread displays include a lighthouse at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, a carousel at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, a display at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, and a display depicting Disney’s BoardWalk.
