Details About New Spaceship Earth Lounge Called GEO-82

One of the things I’m looking most forward to experiencing at Walt Disney World this year is the new Spaceship Earth Lounge. And today, we learned more information about what to expect! This new lounge for EPCOT will be called GEO-82! And I’m gonna warn you now….this is gonna be an incredibly hard destination to get into!

At GEO-82, guests will be able to enjoy modern cocktails and enjoying small plates while taking in the gardens of World Celebration and getting see World Showcase. Oh and did we mention that GEO-82 will actually be found INSIDE Spaceship Earth? Guests will be looking out of the back of the attraction into the park.

Now…here’s one thing we weren’t expecting. GEO-82 will only accept reservations for Guests 21 and older! Not that we can blame them for this stipulation, at all.

The name, GEO-82 actually pays homage to the attraction its housed it, since the attraction opened in 1982.

What Guests Will Experience with GEO-82

With this new lounge, you’ll be surrounded with iconic shapes and intricate structures inspired by the park’s icon. The restaurant will feature rich textures and warm, metallic tones that echo Spaceship Earth in an elegant and intimate setting. 

When it opens, GEO-82 will be the first of two new lounges coming to Walt Disney World this year. There’s also the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean-inspired tavern coming to Magic Kingdom. This one appears as though it will be available for the whole family to enjoy, however.

We’ll have more details when they’re released. These will include things like menu offerings, an opening date and when you can finally make reservations for this incredible new lounge. So stay tuned to A Disney World After All.
