Disney Jollywood Nights Returning for 2024

After a somewhat rough first year, Disney has decided to bring back Disney Jollywood Nights for the 2024 Holiday season at Walt Disney World! The 2024 Disney Jollywood Nights will take place on select nights from November 9 through December 21. It is a separately ticketed event taking place in the evenings from 7:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
Dates for this year’s event are:
- Nov. 9, 13, 16, 18, 23, 25, 30
- Dec. 2, 7, 11, 14, 18, 21
The event is all about celebrating the holidays with a glitzy and glamourous feel! There will definitely be some new things added to the night’s festivities, as well as some returning favorites.
New for Disney Jollywood Nights
Guests will be able to gather on Hollywood Boulevard for a brand new skating spectacular. The show includes your favorite holiday tunes. This will take place several times each evening and will include international champion skaters in an awe-inspiring twist on the traditional ice show.
Returning Favorites
If you love rare characters, this event is for you! This year’s event includes over 20 unique character experiences featuring both new and returning favorites.
Reunite with beloved characters like Phineas and Ferb, Santa Duffy and Santa Stitch. New character encounters will include Bo Peep, Lotso, Baloo, and King Louie from TaleSpin. And yes, PhotoPass digital downloads are included in your event ticket!
Also returning this year will be Ollie, the gingerbread man mascot! This year, he’ll be featured as part of a new merchandise collection, featuring items like a Minnie Mouse ear headband and festive apparel.
Love treats? The iconic Gertie cookie will be back. There will also be several new treats. Upon exit, each guest will also receive one sweet treat created by Wondermade!
Oh and yes, Guests will still be able to ride their favorite attractions with a minimal wait.
Entertainment Options
Are you coming for the shows? They’ll definitely be back! Guests will be able to catch the What’s This? Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Along, Disney Holidays in Hollywood, and Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! fireworks extravaganza!
The Holiday Fiesta en la Calle will take place again this year, but it will move to Animation Courtyard. You’ll be able to spot Jose Carioca and Panchito from The Three Caballeros! Meanwhile, The Twilight Soirée at the Tip Top Club located in the Tower Courtyard will have you dancing throughout the night. Jazzy Holidays at the Hollywood Brown Derby will return. Due to limited space, you should book a reservation.
When Can I Purchase My Tickets for Disney Jollywood Nights?
Guests of select Disney Resorts hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin hotels and Shades of Green can purchase tickets starting on July 2. For all other guests, tickets will go on sale July 10.
Event tickets are $159 to $179 per ticket, plus tax (prices vary by event date). Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members can save $10 per ticket to Disney Jollywood Nights, valid for all event nights.
Final Thoughts
We attended the first Disney Jollywood Nights event last year. We didn’t have the same issues that a lot of other Guests had. There was no waiting in line for food for forever. We also didn’t wait in line for characters for forever. We came in with a game plan to see the shows and entertainment, which we definitely were able to do.
That’s not to say that we didn’t think there were changes that needed to be made to the event. The Twilight Soiree at the Tip Top Club was definitely not as advertised. Neither was the Jazzy Holidays at Hollywood Brown Derby. Both were fine, but definitely not as great as Disney had made it out to be. Also, we would like to see the fireworks time moved up. They took place at the very end of the night. (Edit: Oh! I looked at the details for the fireworks and they HAVE moved up! They now take place at 10:00 p.m.! That’s so much better!)
