First Look at Disney Dreams That Soar Drone Show

Woah!!! This is gonna be incredible! A brand new drone show called “Disney Dreams that Soar Presented by AT&T” will be debuting on May 24 at Disney Springs and today we got a first look at just how cool this show is going to be.

The footage shared is actually from a recent test session that occurred in France. It shows how the night sky will eventually come alive larger-than-life images of classic Disney characters through the use of 800 state-of-the-art drones. The show will be choreographed with iconic quotes from fan-favorite films such as Disney’s “Peter Pan,” “Dumbo,” “Wall-E,” “Big Hero 6,” “Star Wars” and more.

The nine minute show will feature scores from Disney soundtracks, as well as an original song composed exclusively for this show. “Disney Dreams that Soar” will take place twice nightly over the Disney Springs skies. Showtimes for the most part appear to be at 9:00 p.m. and 10:45 p.m. Showtimes will however vary, so you’ll want to make sure to check DisneySprings.com for the latest schedule. Here’s a tip too: The best place to experience the show will be along the waterway in the Disney Springs West Side.

This innovative experience is the first of several new limited-time entertainment offerings debuting this summer at Walt Disney World Resort. Other entertainment offerings debuting this summer include a new Encanto show at EPCOT called “¡Celebración Encanto!”. There will also be a new meet and greet with Joy to celebrate “Inside Out 2.” Finally at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, we”ll see a celebration of “The Lion King,” as the film will be celebrating its 30th anniversary.

Final Thoughts

Seriously….I’ve seen the previous drone show that was held at Disney Springs many years ago and was blown away then. I can only imagine, with almost 8 years of technological advances just how incredible this new “Disney Dreams That Soar” show will be.
