Cinderella Castle’s Original Look Will Be Restored at Walt Disney World

Get ready for a new, or should I say, old, look for Cinderella Castle at the Magic Kingdom. At Destination D23, Disney shared that they will be returning Cinderella Castle’s paint scheme back to its original colors.
The Return of An Original Cinderella Castle
The updated paint will feature grays, creams, blues, and touches of gold aiming to enhance the castle’s architecture.
The current paint scheme had more pink hues and was changed over to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World.
Project Timeline
Disney has shared the the project team is still putting the finishing touches on the design process. No real timeline has been shared yet though on when work will begin and when it’s expected to be completed. We’ll keep you posted here.
Other Magic Kingdom Changes Announced at Destination D23
Disney has also shared that another classic piece of the Magic Kingdom will be seeing a change. Carousel of Progress will be getting an update with a brand new AudioAnamatronic of Walt Disney.
