Both Walt Disney World Water Parks Will Be Open This Summer

Wow! This is something I had hoped would happen, but didn’t actually think it would. I’m so glad to hear that the Walt Disney World Resort will be opening up both water parks for the summer! That’s right, Guests will not only be able to visit the usually open in the summer Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, but they’ll also be able to visit Disney’s Blizzard Beach! (By the way, this is the first time that both water parks will be open at the same time since 2019!)

Guests will be able to visit either water park from May 21 through September 7.

Blizzard Beach, which is currently open and is now celebrating 30 years of aquatic fun, will close for a brief time period, from May 1 through May 20. Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon, which is currently closed will open for its season starting May 1.

Also, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon will be offering Disney H2O Glow After Hours Event this summer.

And one more reminder, and probably the reason Disney’s Blizzard Beach will be open this summer for Guests, but Walt Disney World Resort Hotel Guests get free water park admission on their arrival day in 2025. So, yes, this summer, Guests who want to take advantage of this perk will be able to choose to visit either Disney’s Blizzard Beach OR Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon.
