New Chuuby Popcorn Bucket Coming to Disneyland

Ok….I’m going to admit it. I’m somehow a sucker for popcorn buckets. I don’t know why, but I have a problem. What do I do with them? Well, some I do use as decoration for holidays and such, but most of the time, they just sit in my Disney room and make me happy when I walk in there. (Yes…..I have a Disney room and yes, it’s completely full….I told you….I have a problem. If someone has a creative way to organize/showcase my stuff, that would be great. Right now I just have bookshelves and it’s not ideal.)

I digress….back to popcorn buckets. I don’t have ALL the buckets. Just the ones that speak to me. For example, yes, I did buy the Imagination Pavilion popcorn bucket during the EPCOT Festival of the Arts.

I’m a big fan of creative popcorn buckets. And this one that Disney is releasing, right now strictly at Disneyland Park is super cute! The Chuuby Bucket will be available beginning March 19 at the popcorn cart in Mickey’s Toontown. (Limit two per person, per transaction. No discounts apply.

@disneyparks Alert the bird watchers… Chuuby is landing soon! 👀🐤 #Disney #DisneyParks #Disneyland #MickeysToontown #Chuuby #PopcornBucket #BirdWatching ♬ original sound – Disney Parks

Don’t know who Chuuby is? He’s the little bird that was created exclusively for Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway!

And here’s my PSA. If you are a fan of unique parks-specific intellectual property, this is a bucket you’re going to want to get behind! It’s the very reason I bought the King Gator popcorn bucket from Universal for Mardi Gras. I wanted to support this kind of IP!

Now, the question is….will Chuuby be a Disneyland Resort exclusive (as the Donald Duck Easter sipper and Chip n’ Dale Easter Basket seem to be, which makes me super sad because I totally wanted both) or will Chubby eventually make his way to the Walt Disney World Resort? I guess time will tell.

But now, I want to know your thoughts. Do you want to get your own Chuuby? Do you collect popcorn buckets? You can share with me in the comments or on social! Find me on FacebookXYouTubeInstagram, Threads, and TikTok.

  • I think WDW rarely gets new and original popcorn buckets! So far Disneyland has had 4 new releases to 1 new release at WDW in 2024.

    • Agreed. I would like to see some new popcorn buckets announced here over the spring/summer for WDW!
