it’s a small world Adding New Third Verse at Magic Kingdom

Nothing is more iconic than the song, “it’s a small world.” I mean, look….we named our site around it.

The song was written by the iconic duo, Richard and Robert Sherman, but before his recent passing, Richard Sherman wrote a brand new third verse, as his final gift to Disney.

While it had been previously announced that the third verse would be added to the Disneyland version of the attraction, today, Disney has revealed that this special new third verse will also be added to the Magic Kingdom’s version in Walt Disney World, as well. The new third verse will be added to the finale scene at it’s a small world on both coasts on July 17, 2025.

The update to the finale scene is meant to add to the attraction’s legacy and further emphasize the song’s meaning.

Here are the lyrics to the final verse:
Mother earth unites us in heart and mind
And the love we give makes us humankind
Through our vast wondrous land
When we stand hand in hand
It’s a small world after all.

It truly is beautiful and a wonderful reminder that it really is a small world after all.
