Indiana Jones and Encanto Coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Are you ready to go on a brand new adventure? Well, soon, you’ll be able to do so a Disney’s Animal Kingdom in the new Tropical Americas section. This new space will be located in the space where Dinoland U.S.A. currently sits.

This new space called Pueblo Esperanza will be lush and sprawling. It will feature a large fountain in the center. Additionally, a woodcarver has created a giant working carousel featuring his favorite animals from Disney stories.

That’s not all that will be located here – the new land will include not one but two signature attractions!

Indiana Jones

A new experience themed around Indiana Jones is set to arrive in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Best of all, this will be an attraction different from any other Indiana Jones experience around the world.

In this new venture, Indy has recently discovered a perfectly preserved Maya temple, and of course, it’s time to explore it. He’s heard rumors about a mythical creature deep within the temple. And of course, he’s got to see it for himself. So, he brings us along on the adventure.

Encanto

In addition, the first-ever “Encanto”-themed ride-through attraction is coming to Animal Kingdom. The attraction will feature the Madrigal family. The attraction will take us inside Casita, in the moments after Antonio has just received his special gift,  the ability to communicate with animals and his room has transformed into a rainforest. (It’s perfect for Disney’s Animal Kingdom, right?) It’s time to go explore alongside him, and you never know what member of the family you might bump into…

Construction on the land is set to begin this fall. The area will officially open in 2027. But don’t worry, you’ll still have plenty of time to experience Dinosaur again! More details on when that attraction is slated to close will be shared here soon.
