Walt Disney World

Dining Review: Gaston’s Tavern’s Creme Brulee Croissant & Ham and Gruyere Tart

Ever since Gaston’s Tavern opened at the Magic Kingdom, it has been the go to spot for breakfast. That’s because the quick service restaurant serves the famous Walt Disney World cinnamon rolls that are basically ginormous. But now, there are a couple of new options that have been added to the menu and I think both give the cinnamon roll a run for its money.

The Food at Gaston’s Tavern

The first is the creme brulee croissant. This thing is going viral right now on social media and after trying it, I can honestly say, for good reason. It’s delicious.

It’s basically crispy croissant dough that’s been caramelized on top, filled with vanilla bean custard and I think it’s seriously my new favorite thing at the Magic Kingdom. The pastry is hefty, and it has a good vanilla flavor, but the croissant dough adds a nice touch with it’s caramelized sugar. It’s just incredibly good.

Grab this for breakfast or a snack and you won’t be disappointed.

Here’s my thoughts in the moment:

The next option is a great choice for those looking for a nice, lighter lunch or dinner. (Or honestly, if you like a more savory breakfast, this could be a great choice.) The Ham and Gruyere Tart.

This also includes that same crispy croissant dough, but this dining option is topped with ham and gruyere cheese. Then it’s served with a side of chips. It may not look like much, but it tastes simply delicious.

Final Thoughts

Overall, these are both two fantastic additions for Gaston’s Tavern. And honestly, I didn’t dine here a lot before, but now, I definitely think I will. That creme brulee croissant is absolutely going on my list as must gets, as long as it’s there.

But now I want to know what you think? Have you dined at Gaston’s Tavern recently? What were your thoughts? You can share with me in the comments or on social! Find me on FacebookXYouTubeInstagram, Threads, and TikTok.
