Well, it’s time to say goodbye to another Walt Disney World staple. The Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade will soon be closing to make way for a Disney Vacation Club Lounge. The attraction’s last day of operation will be June 23, 2024.
Details are still minimal, but construction will begin later this year and additional details about what this new lounge will look like will be shared at a later date.
This will mark the third exclusive lounge for Disney Vacation Club Members at Walt Disney World. The others are located at Disney’s Imagination Pavilion and at the Top of the World Lounge – A Villain’s Lair at Bay Lake Tower.
We’ve kind of suspected that this would be the location of the new lounge for a while. The Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade will definitely be missed though. It was a fun place to just play in. Previously, Guests would have to pay to play, but lately, the attraction has been free for any Guest to be able to take part in. We actually just did it a couple trips ago, since I knew it was probably going away.
Frontierland, of course, has been seeing major changes lately, what with the opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and the re-imagining of Country Bear Jamboree.
Stay tuned to the site for additional details on these changes!
