The Fourth of July is coming up quickly and the Walt Disney World Resort celebrates the 4th of July in a massive way! I’ve actually been there on the 4th and it’s a TON of fun! Is it crowded, of course, but if you go in with the correct expectations, you can have a blast! (Haha…fireworks pun!)
Here are some of the ways you can celebrate the Fourth of July at Walt Disney World this year!
“Disney’s Celebrate America! A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky” will light up the nighttime sky over Magic Kingdom. The show will take place two nights, both on July 3 and July 4 at 9:20 p.m.
You can also dance the night away from 7:00 – 10:00 p.m., with DJ parties happening around the park in Frontierland, Cinderella Castle and Tomorrowland.
Guests visiting EPCOT will also be able to experience a fantastic nighttime spectacular in celebration of the Fourth of July. First, Luminous will take place, like normal. Then, following Luminous will be the incredible patriotic fireworks tag called, “The Heartbeat of Freedom.” Performances will take place July 4 at 9 p.m. Trust me when I say this one rumbles the ground!
When visiting the American Adventure Pavilion, you also won’t want to miss the a cappella group, Voices of Liberty. These performers sing patriotic tunes throughout the day in the American Adventure Rotunda.
Oh, and specifically for the 4th of July, you’ll find Mickey, Goofy, Pluto, and Chip n’ Dale dressed in their patriotic best throughout the day at the American Adventure Pavilion.
Also, again, Spaceship Earth will be illuminated in bright red, white and blue colors at night to celebrate the holiday.
If you’re searching for delicious bites to delight your taste buds, you can find festive flavors across the resort from June 29 to July 5.
Select Disney Resort hotels get into the red, white and blue spirit with classic summertime fun. Events will include surprise character appearances, campfires, sing-alongs and marshmallow roasts to Movies Under the Stars and children’s activities. Or just enjoy an afternoon poolside.
Guests staying in Disney Resort hotels on the shores of Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake can end their day viewing the nightly Electrical Water Pageant. This cavalcade of lights includes a patriotic grand finale featuring the American flag and stars all in sparkling lights.
From July 3 to July 6, you and your family can celebrate Independence Day in style with limited-time Fourth of July-themed Disney PhotoPass Magic Shots across Walt Disney World Resort. Select PhotoPass locations throughout Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom and Disney Springs will offer special photo offerings
