Walt Disney World Doubles Disability Access Service Validity Period

Big news! The Walt Disney World Resort has announced a significant change to its Disability Access Service (DAS) policy! It has doubled the validity period from 120 days to 240 days. This change is expected to benefit guests who are frequent visitors or those who are planning extended stays.

The Disability Access Service is designed for Guests who cannot tolerate extended waits in a conventional queue. This is usually due to developmental disabilities, such as autism. With the new 240-day validity period, registered guests will have more flexibility when planning multiple trips or extended vacations without the need to re-register as frequently.

The actual process of getting the Disability Access Service pass remains the same. Registration is only available via live video chat between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Disney discontinued in-person registration at the parks. Also, Disney tightened the eligibility criteria for the Disability Access Service pass recently. It now focuses primarily on Guests with developmental disabilities.

For more information about this service, make sure you visit the Walt Disney World website.
