The Walt Disney World Resort has confirmed when parts of Dinoland U.S.A. at Disney’s Animal Kingdom will be closing to make way for the upcoming Tropical Americas refurbishment.
The last day Guests will be able to experience TriceraTop Spin, Fossil Fun Games, and Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures gift shop will be on January 12, 2025.
For those who are wondering, currently there is no closure date that’s been announced yet for Dinosaur, the Boneyard, Restaurantosaurus, Dino-Bite Snacks, and Trilo-Bites.
As a reminder, Dinoland U.S.A. will make way for a few new adventures. The Tropical Americas area will be called Pueblo Esperanza. It will feature a large fountain in the center, as well as a giant carousel featuring wood-carved animals from Disney stories. The area will also include an attraction themed after the film, Encanto. Plus there will be a re-theme of Dinosaur that will be based off of Indiana Jones. More details can be found here.
Tropical Americas will open beginning in 2027.
