It’s the beginning of November, which means the holiday season is here! And this year, Walt Disney World is introducing a number of new festivities for this year’s EPCOT Festival of the Holidays which takes place from November 29 through December 30, 2024.
Here’s what’s new this year!
Walt Disney World is known for their gingerbread displays and this year, there’s a brand new one at EPCOT. Guests can see an 8-foot-tall gingerbread display inspired by Spaceship Earth. The geodesic sphere made up of hundreds of handcrafted gingerbread triangles will be on display inside CommuniCore Hall And, yes, the gingerbread version will also light up and dance to music periodically throughout the day.
And right now, Disney is working on the Grand Floridian Gingerbread House, which opens on November 6.
Stroll around CommuniCore Hall to take in beautiful, seasonal décor inspired by the unique design of EPCOT. Guests will even find an enchanting forest with the Glittering Grove presented by Balsam Hill, where twinkling trees bring festive flair.
This year, there are two new Holiday Kitchens at CommuniCore Hall!
The first is Experimental Prototype Cookies of Tomorrow which will serve cookies! Guests can purchase gingerbread triangles inspired by the new gingerbread display in a decorating kit, which you and your entire family can decorate.
The second new booth will be Favorites of Festivals Past, located right outside CommuniCore Hall.
Stay tuned for the upcoming Festival of the Holidays menus, which we’ll share here soon.
Stepping outside of CommuniCore Hall and into CommuniCore Plaza, you’ll find a new, complimentary activity – snowflake decorating!
Finally, along the walkway between the Imagination! pavilion and World Showcase, stop by to see an all-new seasonal display. Festive Fragrances presented by Scentsy will allow Guests to stroll through a snow globe garden, inspired by Scentsy’s seasonal aromas!
