It’s finally returning! Everyone has been asking, “What’s going on with 1900 Park Fare? When is it returning?” The answer is April 10!
The Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa table service location will once again offer buffet options for breakfast and lunch. Yes, the strawberry soup will make its return. There is a huge change, as far as the characters that you’ll be able to see are concerned, however. Guests will be joined by Aladdin in his Prince Ali look, Cinderella, Mirabel and Tiana in her new look for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.
Also updated will the the look of the restaurant, as the dining room has been refurbished and will include lots of great special touches. The Walt Disney World restaurant will continue to feature a carousel theme throughout. Also remaining, will be Big Bertha, an antique organ that has called the resort home since 1988. Look for her in the main dining room, where she’s on display as the grand centerpiece!
The artistic touches continue throughout the main dining room. Here you’ll find twelve new portraits created exclusively for the restaurant by Disney artists. Each one is inspired by the impressionist art style of the late 19th and early 20th centuries and they will feature different Disney characters.
Reservations for 1900 Park Fare open on March 5.
For those on the Disney Dining Plan the restaurant will accept it and will be a 1 Table-Service credit experience.
While I’m excited to see another piece of the puzzle return from before the shutdown, I do know many people enjoyed this restaurant because of the characters who were there before. There were a lot of unique characters like Mary Poppins and the Mad Hatter for breakfast. Then dinner was simply the best because it featured the fun encounters of Cinderella’s Wicked Stepmother and Stepsisters. While I’m sure that these new characters will be a drawn for Guests, I don’t know if it will be the same draw that the other options were. (Specifically dinner.) It will be interesting to see some of the characters announced though because this will be their first character meal ever.
