Big Stay and Scream Changes for Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando Resort

Seriously….as someone who’s taken advantage of Stay and Scream for Halloween Horror Nights in the past, this new change for Stay and Scream for this year’s event is HUGE! This is legitimately a game changer!

How Stay And Scream Will Work in 2025

Here’s how Stay and Scream will work this year:

If you have Halloween Horror Nights tickets and daytime tickets for the same day at Universal Orlando or if you have Scream Early admission, you can now enjoy the entire Universal Studios Florida park during the day-to-evening transition! That means you no longer need to wait in the specific holding areas, waiting for the park to clear out of regular day Guests.

Instead, you’ll be able to receive a wristband beginning at 3:00 p.m. You can pick up your wristband at one of three convenient locations – Lombard’s Seafood Grill, Minion Cafe, or Villain-Con Minion Blast.

From there, you can then access the haunted house queues starting at 4:00 pm. While daytime operations end at 5pm and security sweeps begin, you continue enjoying early access to select haunted houses until the official 6:30pm event opening. That means you can experience houses like Fallout (which opens at 5:15pm) then move to Terrifier (which opens at 5:30pm)! This also means more time for attractions, dining, merchandise, and most importantly – getting ahead of the crowds.

This new process provides incredible flexibility and let’s be honest, is exactly what dedicated HHN fans have been hoping for.
