DreamWorks Land to Open Summer 2024

A brand new, imaginative land is coming to Universal Studios Florida in summer 2024! DreamWorks land will be a colorful area at the Universal Orlando Resort where Guests can do things like meet Shrek and splash in his swamp, scream with laughter on the Trollercoaster, and learn kung fu moves with Po.

Attractions

Troll’s Trollercoaster

Guests who board this family-friends coaster will hop onto the caterpillar Caterbus. You’ll join Poppy, Tiny and the twins Satin and Chenille as you try to make an escape from spooky spiders.

Visit Panda Village, the ancestral home of Po and all pandas. Meet and talk with Po on a digital animated screen. During this experience, he’ll train you in the ways of kung fu while babysitting his mischievous baby cousin and cooking some delicious snacks.

Now’s your chance to meet Shrek, Fiona and Donkey outside Shrek’s cottage.

Other DreamWorks Land Fun

There will be lots of other fun available for families in this land too. You’ll be able to climb, slide, and splash through Shrek’s playground ant Shrek’s Swamp for Little Ogres. You’ll also be able to play in Panda Village at Po’s Kung Fun Training Camp. There will be a new live show for Guests to experience at DreamWorks Imagination Celebration. And you’ll find your favorite characters in the DreamWorks Character Zone, which is perfect for meet and greets. Are you hungry? You’ll be able to stop at Swamp Snacks or Troll’s Treats. And if you want a souvenir to take home, you’ll want to visit High Five Hideaway. Finally, you’ll be able to experience Mama Luna Feline Fiesta, create a melody at King Harold’s Swamp Symphony, and little ones can play in Poppy’s Playground.

Check back for an official opening date!

Final Thoughts

I’m so excited for this land, especially now having a little one. A lot of complaints about Universal is that they don’t offer a lot in the way for little ones. I think this land will be the go-to place for those with families! It’s incredibly necessary and it replaces a land that was dated and updates it with the stories kids nowadays know about. (Let’s be honest….Fivel didn’t really hang on in the cultural zeitgeist.) This land will meet a major need. What do you think? And let me know what you’re excited about experiencing in this new land.
