The Disneyland Resort has introduced brand new and upgraded turnstiles for entering Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure. These new modernized turnstiles will still be located at the main entrance to each of the parks.
So, just how do these new turnstiles work?
Well, first you’ll head to the entrance of your choice. You’ll then scan your ticket using the screens found at each individual entry gate. Once each ticket is scanned, every Guest in your group will use the screen to take their own photo. They’ll do so by pressing the camera icon on the screen, capturing your image. Each gate is equipped with technology that will automatically adjust to each guest’s height. (So, kiddos will still get photos taken too.)
The gates will open for your party once your ticket is scanned and your photo is attached to your ticket.
If you have a multi-day ticket or a Magic Key pass, you will only have to take your picture linked to your ticket one time. In addition, the updated entry gates will also have an access point to tap your MagicBand+ or you can use the Disneyland app to tap into the park. And every gate is ADA compliant, allowing all guests with ECVs, wheelchairs and strollers to use and pass through them with ease!
While this new process allows guests to scan their tickets by themselves, a nearby cast member will also be there to help.
