Adult Spaces on the Disney Destiny

Many people ask me, wait….you’re sailing on Disney Cruise Line? Isn’t that themed towards kids? I am happy to tell you that that fact couldn’t be further than the truth. That’s because there are some incredible areas onboard Disney Cruise Line that are geared exclusively to adults, 18 or older. And the Disney Destiny is no exception.

Aboard the Disney Destiny, adults will be able to explore, relax, dine and play with venues, offerings and entertainment tailored just for them. Let’s take a look at the spaces geared towards the adults crowd.

The Lounges

Nearly every bar and lounge aboard the ship will feature menus inspired by epic Disney stories, brought to life through elevated interpretation and refined theming. These spaces will include:

• De Vil’s piano lounge which is located just off the Grand Hall. This will be a lavish affair themed after the Disney villain Cruella de Vil. Guests will enjoy trendy martinis, chic cocktails, and glamorous wines and bubblies. The atmosphere will evoke Cruella’s signature color palette of black, white and red.
• Cask and Cannon is Inspired by the “Pirates of the Caribbean” attractions at Disney Parks. It will be a pub furnished with “acquired” treasures. Guests will be able to enjoy live televised sporting events and a menu of rare, specialty and vintage rums and a selection of “bootlegged” brews developed specially for the venue and served straight from the barrel in true pirate style.
• The Sanctum will be inspired by the powerful sorcerers and mystical artifacts of Doctor Strange. The lounge will be centrally located and it will host a variety of activities throughout the voyage. The space will offer guests a magical array of cocktails, spirits and coffees.

• At the Haunted Mansion Parlor, Foolish mortals will be welcomed to sip spirited craft cocktails. The bar will invoke inspiration from the original theme park attraction with a nautical twist exclusive to Disney Cruise Line.

Adult Dining on the Disney Destiny

• Those 18 and older will be able to enjoy premium dining venues. These include Palo Steakhouse which combines authentic Italian dining with the refinement of a modern steakhouse. There’s also Enchanté by Chef Arnaud Lallement, which offers gourmet, French-inspired cuisine in a romantic and intimate atmosphere. Finally, there is The Rose, an idyllic setting for a pre-dinner aperitif or after-dinner cocktail.

More Adult Only Spaces on the Disney Destiny

Guests will be able to enjoy Quiet Cove, a peaceful refuge set away from the bustle of family activities. This space will feature a infinity pool, poolside bar and chic café.

Adults will also love Senses Spa. This is a tranquil oasis that will offer indulgent spa and beauty treatments in private treatment rooms. There are also lavish spa villas, and steam and aromatherapy rooms. Oh and in Senses Fitness, Guests will enjoy a state-of-the-art exercise and wellness facility. Sense Spa is always a favorite respite for me and my hubby. We enjoy relaxing in these spaces on all Disney Cruise Line ships.

Finally, at Untangled Salon, Guests will find a chic venue for high-end hairstyling and beauty services, and at Hook’s Barbery, you’ll find a traditional men’s salon with a “hidden” bar.
