2025 Lunar New Year Celebrations Kick off at Disneyland

Celebrate the Year of the Snake that commemorate Lunar New Year with grand festivities at Disney California Adventure from January 17 through February 16, 2025.

The Lunar New Year Celebration offers culturally inspired food, music and entertainment at the Disneyland Resort. Plus, be on the lookout for Disney Characters dressed in traditional garb. Guests will also be able to stroll beneath strings of ornamental lanterns, pay a visit to the Lucky Wishing Wall and explore the art of local artisans. In addition, shop for Lunar New Year themed apparel, souvenirs and gifts.

Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession

Mulan and Mushu will welcome Guests. Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession fills the street with exciting music, exquisite costumes and traditional dances by Asian performing troupes. Discover a magnificent Chinese dragon making its way along the route. In addition, umbrella and fan dancers perform their delicate dances.

The procession can be enjoyed multiple times throughout the day during the Lunar New Year celebration.

Character Greetings

Ring in the Year of the Snake with Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse wearing inspired Korean cultural attire. Plus, meet popular Characters, including Mulan, Mushu and friends from Turning Red dressed in vibrant outfits inspired by Lunar New Year.

Hurry Home – Lunar New Year Celebration

This World of Color pre-show invites Guests to follow Little Lantern on a journey to return home for the annual celebration of good luck and fortune. Accompanied by a stirring musical score, you’ll be immersed in the magic of a 6-minute tale.

Entertainment

At the Paradise Garden Bandstand, enjoy daily performances to attract good luck and prosperity for the new year.

Lucky Wishes Wall

Celebrate the Year of the Snake by sharing wishes. Reflect on the past and welcome a new year of prosperity and good fortune at the Lucky Wishes Wall. Guests of all ages are invited to add their own special message of hope, health and happiness for the upcoming year.
