First Look: The Sanctum on the Disney Destiny

Guests who sail on board the Disney Destiny will come across a brand new lounge called The Sanctum. This space will the first ever lounge inspired by the worlds of “Doctor Strange.”

Who’s hungry for some delicious updates about the Disney Destiny, our new heroes and villains-themed Disney Cruise Line ship? We’re dishing up a smorgasbord of new information and sneak peeks at four all-new food and beverage venues today. Keep an eye on this post as it is updated with all the latest news! 

This venue will feature mystical items designed to aid sorcerers in protecting the world. Guests will discover unique design details inspired by the shapes and symbols of the sorcerers’ Rune Shields, along with familiar icons like the Cloak of Levitation and spell books from the library of Kamar-Taj.  

Guests will find that The Sanctum will be centrally located on the ship and it will host a variety of activities throughout the voyage. (Think where The Bayou on the Disney Wish and Skipper Society Lounge on the Disney Treasure are.) This space looks very upscale, so it will be interesting to see how it sets itself up for family-friendly activities throughout the day.

Guests of all ages can enjoy a magical array of mocktails, cocktails, spirits and coffees. Be dazzled by the mystic art of mixology through tableside beverage experiences and exclusive menu items.

Menu Items at The Sanctum

• Circle of the Cosmos – Brunswick Aces Diamonds Gin, verjus blanc, and fresh lemon juice garnished with a lemon peel spiral

• Vapors of Valtorr – Grey Goose Altius Vodka, ginger beer, fresh lime juice, and butterfly pea flower syrup topped with berry-flavored bubbles

• Stuffed waffles with custard cream filling

• Stuffed waffles with mixed berry compote filling
