Disney Treasure to Feature Aristocats Lounge Called Scat Cat Lounge

Ev’rybody wants to be a cat…. or so I’ve heard. A brand new lounge will be a part of the Disney Treasure themed around the 1970s Disney film, “The Aristocats.” The lounge will be called the Scat Clat Lounge and it will be an old-school jazz club, with references to the classic animated movie.

A direct extension of the Grand Hall, Scat Cat Lounge will also take design cues from the Grand Hall’s Agrabah-inspired architecture. It will include a complementary color palette and décor. Symbols of cats, both hidden and overt will be found throughout the space. At Scat Cat Lounge, guests will encounter swinging live music and a delicious craft cocktail menu.

All About the New Lounge

Here’s what you can expect in the new lounge on this new Disney Cruise Line ship.

• The carpet will be inspired by the ornate French style rugs scattered throughout Madame Adelaide Bonfamille’s swanky Parisian home.

• Remember when Toulouse mischievously left his paint-covered paw mark on the piano? It will be represented in Scat Cat Lounge with colorful prints decorating the piano.

• Centrally located off the Grand Hall, Scat Cat Lounge will take design cues from the Grand Hall’s Agrabah-inspired architecture. It will include a complementary color palette and Middle Eastern décor that will blend seamlessly with the storied theming of the venue.

• A parade of silhouetted cats, all representing characters from the film, will welcome guests at the entry and lead the way into the venue.

• The theming will begin at the front door with a sculpted handle that resembles Scat Cat’s trumpet

• At Scat Cat Lounge, hidden depictions of Roquefort, the devoted mouse companion of Duchess and her kittens, will be found.

• A black and white-striped statement wall will extend through the center of the venue. It will frame a neon sign with the lyrics, “Ev’rybody Wants to be A Cat.” This is going to be reminiscent of piano keys, which plays an important part in the movie.

• At first glance, the funky poster that will hang outside Scat Cat Lounge may not draw too much attention. However, the instrument-playing cat collage will have a secret! Each cat depicted in the artwork will be drawn in the image of a beloved pet belonging to someone from the project team that helped design and build Scat Cat Lounge.

The Menu

• Served to sip from a French-style ceramic bowl, the Créme de la Créme Martini will fuse cognac and chocolate into a rich, creamy dessert cocktail that will be reminiscent of “The Aristocats” kittens, Marie, Toulouse and Berlioz’s favorite evening treat.

• The Cat Drink will combine clarified bourbon, amaro, Aperol and fresh lemon into a near translucent cocktail that shows off hand-crafted drinkware that will be embossed with the image of a cat.

• The Turkish Tea Experience will honor the Agrabah-inspired architecture of the Grand Hall and is perfect for two or more guests. The tea-based cocktail will be presented in a bejeweled tea pot and gold-detailed teacups.
