Marvel Characters Take Center Stage on the Disney Destiny

In celebration of the Heroes and Villains theme of the Disney Destiny, the ship will feature a large number of Marvel influences!

New Stern Character

This Disney Cruise Line ship, for the first time ever, will feature a Marvel Super Hero as the signature stern character. Guests will see a larger-than-life sculpture of Spider-Man and his Spider-Bots located on the back of the ship.  The Spider-bots are are making a well-meant, if a bit haphazard, attempt at decorating the filigree on the back of the ship with their infamous spider webs.

The Grand Hall

In addition, Guests will also find a Marvel hero in the Grand Hall. Black Panther will be found in the heart of the space.

For those who haven’t sailed Disney Cruise Line before, the Grand Hall of the Disney Destiny is the prominent gathering space. It will be a living theater where heroes and villains from across the Disney universe take center stage and interact with guests in many different ways. There will be immersive shows and interactive programming featuring favorite characters from Disney, Marvel and beyond.

Marvel Dining

As seems to be a hallmark on these Disney Wish class ships, Guests will be able to experience Worlds of Marvel on the Disney Destiny. At Worlds of Marvel, families will eat to the beat of an awesome mix of hit songs. They will also be able to test their knowledge of the Marvel Universe, all as an onscreen story unfolds starring Rocket and Groot from the “Guardians of the Galaxy” films. 

The Sanctum

The Sanctum will be Disney Cruise Line’s first lounge inspired by the powerful sorcerers and mystical artifacts of Doctor Strange. The entertainment parlor will host a variety of activities and it will offer a magical array of cocktails, spirits and coffees. Oh it will also include unique surprises from Doctor Strange’s New York Sanctum, including a circular mirror behind the bar that evokes the building’s iconic window.

Saga

Just off the Grand Hall, you will find Saga. This will be a central hub for daytime family activities and adult-exclusive evening entertainment. The two-story, state-of-the-art venue will host a variety of interactive shows and events that also takes cues from the architecture of Wakanda. Shows will include classics like “Match Your Mate” and “Family Time Game Show.”
